The first step is admitting it....

I found this list on Pintrest today...I'm currently on my lunch break {sigh} but I thought I would post it.  Since writing about feeling withdraws from running I have made a goal to start running more...because, honestly in the last 2 weeks I have not run at all! And I don't even have the sick excuse to use! So I thought maybe by admitting it this would be the first step to getting back on track.

bumpdate

Every pregnancy I've wanted to blog and archive the whole experience, but it just has never seemed to happen.  So this time around I hope to do better. I make no promises.

So this is me and the bump.

hi!

It's a rather big bump for the given amount of weeks.  All I can make of it is that now my body knows exactly what to do third time around.  I seriously had the ultrasound lady check for two.  but alas, only one...the rest is all me.

With that being said, I've broken out the maternity clothes. {sigh} I love stretchy pants!

The past week or so I've been feeling great! Every once and a while I'll get a good nausea wave but then I'll go to bed and wake up all better. yeah!

I'm pretty positive I've felt the baby move a few times. I love it! Can't wait for the movements to get stronger!

and here's another angle just for good measure...

Lazy Saturday

Nothing is better than a nice, lazy Saturday Morning!

Prime snuggled om our bed and watched some Disney Junior on the iPhone (his favorite app)

We made a HUGE batch of pancakes. I used THIS recipe. Read the instructions carefully. You're only suppose to use a 6th of the dry mix...I accidentally used ALL of it...oops. But they were sure yummy!

And Emmie entertained us

It's was a wonderful morning!

Withdrawals

I miss running.
Okay, okay...I'm still running but it's not the same.
I've gotten slow
And it's too hot so I'm chained to my treadmill - blech.
I miss my running buddies.

Here's a look back at better times.  My last race.
Coronado's Independence Day 5K & 15K
It was beautiful.
I was 7 weeks pregnant and super sick...but you wouldn't know it from the pictures right?
Ceri and John ran the 5K while I did the 15K
It was the most perfect day which made me kind of forget how sick I was...kind of.
I kept a nice, steady 10min/mile pace for 7 miles.
...then I ate some caffeinated gummies.
I kicked into high gear and passed 70 people in the last 2 miles!
WHOOOOOOOT
So. much. fun.

Last year this was my first race. I reminisced a lot on the course. I would have never thought at the time that that one race would have been the spring board all the rest.  And at the time I laughed at the thought of doing a WHOLE marathon. Oh how things change.

John, Ceri, and I post race

Making some "kills" in the last 2 miles
 Sprinting to the finish

{sigh}
I love a good race
Oh and just for record keeping, here are my stats:
1188 people ran in the 15K that day.

Yes, it's true!

Number 3 is on the way! Due Feb. 20, 2013

I can't begin to express how grateful I am that the first trimester is over.
It was terrible. I've never experienced anything like it. UGH! I have a new found appreciation for women who go EVERY pregnancy or their ENTIRE pregnancy feeling so terrible.  I never actually threw up but on most days I wish I could have. Maybe it would have brought some relief. I don't know. 90% of my day for 10 solid weeks was spent feeling car/motion sick and NOTHING helped.

Everything went out the window. Clean house? Gone. Home cooked dinner? Gone. Clean clothes? Thank goodness for Matthew. Blogging? Ha! don't make me laugh.

I turned into a monster. A person I didn't know existed in me.

It was so bad...for a while the only thing that sounded appetizing was Taco Bell. And I ate it 2 times a day on most days for a good month. Don't judge me.

After a few weeks of giving into the monster/sloth within, I got tired of being "that person" and got pretty good at putting on a happy face and tried out the whole, "fake it till you make it" attitude. It worked...sort of...It may have made me look happier, but I wasn't about to cook dinner...

I have tried to keep my running up. It hasn't been easy. I ran a 15K on the 4th of July. I was 7 weeks and fully feeling green.  But I did it. I'm glad I did.

From all of this I realized (well, I already knew this...but it reinforced) that my husband is the greatest.  Matt put up with all of it and picked up so much ALL of my slack.

Thankfully the week 12 mark has taken over and little by little I've been feeling more myself. This is the first week in MONTHS that I've cooked dinner for my family. Yeah!

So here's hoping for a better 2nd and 3rd trimester - They've gotta be better than the first.

Oh, and in case you were wondering...there's only one in there. I made sure the ultrasound lady took a real good look!

Coleman Family Vacation

The Coleman Family Vacation
Lambs Canyon, UT

We had a wonderful time visiting with Matt's family.  We wish we lived closer. Emmie LOVES her cousin's - all girls...which is a nice change for her. Prime doesn't really know what to do with himself around all the ladies. Poor little Adison got pushed down a lot by him...she was a good sport.

At the cabin we did a lot of nature walking

 And flower observing

 Sweet Adi and Grandma
The me did some service clearing out an area to make into a badminton court
 Emmie admiring nature with Grandma

On the 24th of July we had a picnic and played at the park

Matt holding his newest niece, Bristow

 Grandma rocking the frisbee

Carrie and I taking the classic "picture of a picture" shot

Uncle Will and Prime playing chase
Prime and daddy running the "bases"
Our girl had got some seriously good hand-eye coordination going on

The little ones getting a turn

 look, it's a bee
 Precious! Grandpa with Claire

All the cousins who were there - Celine (the oldest) was a very good sport

 My girl

 My boys
 Three of the cutest behinds!

And a post about the cabin is not complete without horseshoes!

It was a wonderful trip! We love our Coleman Family!

The 4th of July

Yah - I'm seriously behind in blog land. This is what we did for the 4th.
We escaped the heat! Notice the jackets...

My sister, Ceri celebrated her birthday!
This was the gigantic salad that we shared
On the forth we watched a parade
The kids sat on shoulders and waved flags

 Prime waved his alligator....
 Monson being adorable.
My dad wore an awesome patriotic shirt
 There were cowboys

 And flamingos?...notice Monson's confusion...

and then there was this grumpy face...she thought we were going to the park...

But then she got to sit on a cow and all was better.
