Disneyland

A few weeks ago Emmie and I went on a VERY spontaneous trip to Disneyland with my parents and sister's family.  Matt and Prime stayed home...they (meaning, Matt) are not fans of the magic kingdom (gasp! I know, right?...party poopers). Anyways we had a BLAST! Enjoy our weekend via iphone snapshots.
Waiting to get in...That day there was a Bomb scare - say what?! for reals.  Ended up that a college kid threw a toilet paper tube stuffed with colorful ribbon signifying "unity in diversity" into a tree. After two + hours of an all out bomb squad search the kid called in and confessed.  He's no longer allowed in Disneyland...

That morning Emmie decided she didn't want to smile for any pictures...so we have a lot like this
 or this
or this...stinker.

Emmie LOVED the rides
 Autopia - our first stop

 Tea Cups
Astro Blaster...I totally kicked Emmie's rear! But then again she had a hard time seeing over the rail...

So..Why was I never introduced to DOLE WHIPS before this trip??? For all these years I've been missing out. They were everything everyone made them out to be - divine Disneyland food perfection. mmmmmm dole whip I love you...

Emmie and Monson opted for Mickey icecream bars instead

I love this picture. It makes me giggle.

Monson and Emmie loved Toontown! Here they are getting comfy on Minnie's couch.

On our second day we started by going to the "Character Breakfast" We were convinced that Emmie and Mo would LOVE it...we were a little wrong..
classic
Midway through Emmie decided that she loved it.

Tigger gave dad the best back rub he's had in a long time. Go Tigger!

 Sassafrass - LOVE it!

Emmie's first roller coaster: Thunder Mountain
It was awesome!
Trying to multi-task a thumbs up and eat a churro... Yeah She's tall enough!
 Before the start...
baaahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahahahahaha.
John took a video of the ride - It will be a video that we cherish and watch for the rest of our lives.  Thank you John for capturing this epic event!
This is a snapshot sliced out of the video.
After it was all over she wanted to go again. The girl loves a thrill.

And we managed to squeeze in some adult rides too...

Notice the kids in the front. Awesome. She will always have this picture to remember the first time she was inappropriately touched by a boy - her words not mine...for reals.

{sigh}
So it was a good time.
Next time to make it even more perfect I'll ask for cooler weather and my husband to be there. Because even though it's not his favorite place, him being there to share in all of the memories just makes it all the more fun.

Tubes

For, what seems like forever, Prime has suffered from chronic ear infections...like 10 infections in 12 months kind of chronic. poor baby. So after a few appointments and consultations we showed up and then bing bang boom they were in. yah! Dr. said that he drained a TON of fluid so the likelihood of his body being able to dry it all up on its own was slim...
So now enjoy the pictures!
Prime in the triage waiting room
He did NOT like that gown...but that's the only thing he cried about.  He was even fine when the nurse took him away - he gave her a good scowl - but no tears!
Coming out of anesthesia was beast in itself.  I can't imagine how funky he felt.
He fell asleep on the way home and slept for 3 1/2 hours
Then he woke up and tried to eat a cherry smelly marker. So...back to normal!

Prime's First Day of School

I can't believe this is happening.
I know I start my kids young and all but is he really this old? My baby is almost 2. I'm not going to lie...I totally cried when I gave him over to his teacher.
My baby!

Prime is in love with school! He loves his teacher, Mrs. Hawley. He loves choosing works. He loves eating snack. And he especially loves the playground.

Having Emmie and Monson there has made the transition super smooth.  Yeah for school! I love bringing him to work with me and seeing him on campus.

Prime doing his first work. The knobbed cylinders. classic.

Items of {P}intrest: February addition

So there was some uber cute stuff floating around Pintrest in February.
This is what I had time to do
It's not much...no time (hence no updated blogposts either)

Super Cute Valentine Shirt for myself and my Assistant, Amie for the big party.

Emmie rocked this outfit for the party. I wish I had taken time to get a better picture.
It was all taken from Danamadeit.com.
Emmie LOVED her pants. I didn't make the pants...no time. But how can you beat Target for $4? I don't think I could have made them for much less.
I have no idea where Danamadeit got her doily.  Her's is much cuter than the one I found...oh well.

Valentines Day Party

Every year Adobe puts on a really fun Valentines Day party.
There are valentines to exchanged, treats to eat, friends to play with and then...the big event..
The Petting Zoo!
so.much.fun

I think the most excited person was Prime.
Take a look.

Emmie had a pretty good time too.
Except for a cranky duck that snipped her finger instilling in her a new fear of ducks.

Until next year Mr. Llama.  It was fun.
