Check out the sassy outfit! I just found a whole bunch of clothes that I had tucked away after her baby showers, to use when she got big enough! It's like she has a brand new wardrobe! Lucky Girl!

p.s. man, I've got the sweetest husband! I can't believe he actually posted something!! Yeah for Matt and yeah for getting rid of that weight! Unfortunately, my body doesn't look the same second time around...I think I'll have to work a bit more in order to fit my pre-pregnancy jeans with ease!

p.p.s I bought my first pair of high heals yesterday...not wedges...heals...the real deal... Here's the real shocker though...I got Dana to buy some too! We're turning a corner into womanhood together - our mother's are going to be so proud!I'm so jealous that they didn't have those cute brown ones in my size! Lucky Dana!

This is my first time to post on our blog, as I always leave it to Elyse to fill you all in about us. I am taking this opportunity to brag about Elyse. Hope she doesn't mind : ) As you all know, Elyse gave birth to our sweet little daughter Emmie last October. Since then, she has been working very hard to drop those hard to lose pounds that come on with pregnancy. Her goal has been to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight and she is now just 1 pound over what she weighed before her pregnancy with Emmie and looks absolutely fabulous! I'm sure you will all agree if you've seen her lately. I know she has one pound left for her goal, but I just had to jump the gun a bit. She eats very healthy and gets regular exercise and is an inspiration to us all...(and is a totally hot mom). Way to go sweetie!! I love you tons.

Twilight Saga

one word...Wow! I'm slightly obsessed with the whole series. I read all four books in 2 1/2 weeks - I would have definitely finished sooner if it weren't for school starting back up! I just love everything about the books. I was really surprised at how good they were - serious page turners. When I finished Breaking Dawn I was so sad that I was done...I looked around and was like....what do I do with my spare time now?? (Matt was able to give me some good suggestions...all the built up laundry, for instance, I happily neglected while reading!) I love talking about the books with anyone that shares my obsession. I've been hearing lots of mixed reviews about how people liked the last book. All I can say is wow...I wouldn't of changed a thing - Stephanie Meyer couldn't of finished it off more perfectly and yah...it was more "magical" - but I don't see how anyone could really expect any less? Is it weird that I'm excited for some time to pass so I can forget the story enough to re-read them? Anyways...notice the new addition to the side bar - I can't wait!

Starting early...

We like to think this is a sign that she got a good dose of the music gene flowing through her...If nothing else she just discovered a really cool big new toy!

The last day's of summer...

okay - so it's not really the last day of summer...but as of tomorrow it's fall to me because school starts up again (and ...does phoenix ever really see autumn?) This is how we spent our time:

Emmie "helping" daddy with the laundry. She likes to chase after the sheets and then sometimes she'll just plop down on the lagging side and wait to get a pulled on a ride... funny girl!

Emmie practicing standing by herself!!! She's been practicing so much lately - she's getting pretty good...I predict her first steps aren't too far away! (the good part of the video is 40 second in...just to warn you...and yes...my child likes to chew on the diapers in her diaper bag...no comment...)

Last but not least...I've been obsessed with the Twilight series. Ceri got me hooked when I needed some reading material for our Globe trip. I've been reading non-stop since. I've just finished the second book and am starting the third. SO FABULOUS! I was skeptical at first thinking "vampires...what?" But seriously....If you need a quick read and you're a romantic - this is definitely a book not to pass up! Just like Pringles...once you pop you just can't stop!
