I have been trying to catch her on video in babble mode forever - she finally cooperated! Yeah!

Gymnastics, Heroes, and Graduation

On Friday Holly Hart (my co-worker) took me to the 2008 Gymnastic Superstar Tour. In exchange I took her to FEZ, my new favorite burger place in Phoenix, for dinner before the show. Lets just say I'm going to owe her a few Paradise Bakery lunches to make the exchange even. Our seats were AMAZING! We sat on the far right side of the arena and could see a ton of the backstage stuff going on. Not only was the show fabulous but since we were sitting so far to the right we weren't far away from where Nastia and Shawn would come and watch while they waited to go up. SO AWESOME! I think if I would of had the guts to yell something like "Shawn You Rock" she would have probably heard it, then turned (being the obvious sweet heart the media makes her out to be) then waved back. We had the greatest time! Thanks Holly!!! Next time I will have to remember ear plugs though...who likes to listen to music so loud it hurts?!

Is anyone else a huge Heroes fan? I wasn't until about 3 weeks ago when Ceri and John loaned us their Season 1 and Season 2 DVD's. AWESOME! It's like my two most favorite television series of all time collided: Gilmore Girls and Alias. Not only is the writing awesome (like the other 2 series) but there are a lot of familiar faces from the two shows. It's nice to have them back! Tune in Tomorrow night at 7 on NBC for a recap and then at 8 for the premiere!!! YEAH!!!
And Finally:
So congratulations to me! Last week I finished my Podrunner interval set "First Day to 5k". I'm a believer! I started the whole thing a bit skeptical but 10 weeks later and 6 lbs lighter I'm happy to say they've got a new supporter. I'm going to start the next set "Gateway to 8k" tomorrow. And for all those enquiring minds...I did finally loose that last lb., reaching my goal. And to top it all off I pulled out my pre-preggo pants and they fit awesome...maybe even a little bit better than before!

My mom needed pictures of Emmie in her Tutu and headband to advertise for their "super saturday" were they'll be making them so we had to have a little photo shoot...

This is her true feelings about the experience....This is Matt trying to make her happy again...I love the "in motion"ness of the falling puffpaint bottle! After a costume change and some tickling this is the final keeper...so precious!

The video doesn't have anything to do with the photo shoot...it's just dang cute. My favorite is the ballerina move (or maybe yoga?) in the middle. Enjoy!

Fall is in the air!

I know it's still 100 outside...but it's getting crisper isn't it? I can feel it...our cool down is coming soon! Autumn is my favorite season. I love everything about it! The air is crisper - it has a certain smell that I love. And...it's been a long summer!

A Rave Review

This book is completely amazing! I know I'm a little biased being a Montessorian and all but this book is where it's at. It gives a wonderful introduction to what Montessori is and how to incorporate it into your home. It hits on everything from infant - preschooler developmental stages, to potty training, to birthday celebrations, to positive discipline, etc. The pictures are beautiful too...I find my self just leafing through the pictures to get ideas about how to set up Emmie's room. Even if you have no idea what Montessori is...or don't really care to...it's a great book for Parents with young children - lots of helpful hints and activities to do with them that foster independence and self-dicipline...and other great stuff....to take a closer look click here.

The Last Harrah of Summer...

Is it actually September?? I can hardly believe it! For Labor day my parents surprised all of us by booking our hotel in Coronado for one last weekend get away. It was wonderful. I needed some R & R and Coronado was the perfect place to get it! I took my camera everywhere with us vowing to take lots of pictures...but failed...this is all I have for you.



Emmie loves to pull anything in front her face and start playing peekaboo! If you listen close you can hear Emmie say "oh boy oh boy oh boy"
