I got this DVD for Christmas...and I was pretty excited about it...but then I watched it and decided that I didn't like it : ( But I know there are lot's of people out there who do : ) So if you want it - first person to leave me a comment - get's it!

A New Year and a New Bed

No more crib for this girl! She loves it. A few nights ago I found her sprawled out in the middle of her floor - funny girl!

3 Books in 2 weeks (and a few days...)

During the 2 week break over I devoured these three books:

I've already mentioned this one...the back of the book may make you think "what? weird." but it was a page turner...a nice, clean, page turner.

This is the second of the series. The third will be coming in August. If I had known how addicting these books would be I wouldn't of started them until Summer! sheesh! I may have to start a count down for the third book! And I may just have to be one of those nerds who go and pick up there copies at midnight...we'll see.
This one I picked up on a whim at Wal-mart right before our Seattle trip after seeing that one of Matt's buddies bought the book as a Christmas gift for his wife. The movie trailer made me think that this was some sort of scary story...(it will be interesting to see what the movie does with the story) but it was good! caution: I did skip over some pages that made me blush and another that twisted my stomach with the whole murder of it all...but over all it was a great and intriguing read...unexpectedly uplifting. I ended it with a sigh and a smile. I would recommend it.

Family Home Evening Week 1

One of our New Year's Goals is to get better at doing our Family Home Evenings more regularly - I know with baby boy coming soon we won't be perfect at it...but we are sure going to try!

(sadly we didn't eat these...well at least Emmie didn't...she refused to eat her healthy dinner and only at crackers and milk...maybe next time she'll eat dinner so she can have her treat...)

A few Sunday's ago after trying to get this little girl's nose clean and failing:

Matt: "Emmie, do you like having boogies in your nose?"
Emmie: "Yah, sure"

New Years in Seattle

All of these pictures turned out a little on the dark side....maybe that's because Seattle is kind of a dark place to be...The sun didn't peak out it's happy face once the entire trip...of course the week before it was supposedly gorgeous - go figure! Not that I minded much - it's a nice change from the constant sun of AZ! We had a great time visiting all the family and Emmie LOVED playing with her cousins!

Wednesday night we pulled in pretty early....6:00ish. Emmie was delirious after missing her afternoon nap - oh the difference a nap makes! But we can't complain much - she was a dream on the flight - watched movies...ate snacks...open and closed the window blinds about 100 times....and best of all there were two other babies who screamed the WHOLE time- so any squawks Emmie made weren't even noticed - everyone was too busy trying to ignore/drown out the others! Those poor parents...and kids...both were exhausted by the end of it!

She was eating her corndog so funny...upside down and then dipping the stick in the ketchup and licking it off...we had to get a picture.

Later that day some of the cousins came over for the festivities - lots of running around (much to granma's headache...) watching movies and old videos of Christmas' years ago - pretty fun.

New Year's day:

Playing with Cousin Hallie - those two were pretty cute together!Emma LOVED this little girl! Emmie did pretty good with getting picked up all the time...she barely squawked about it...that surprised me!

Saturday: Time to Go
