p.s. The Adobe Montessori Website has been under construction and looks AMAZING! Ceri's husband, john, actually designed it and did a great job. Go check it out here! There is a super cute picture of Emmie Grace on it! : )

Sometimes I Forget
Sometimes I forget how talented Matt is. I hear him practicing everyday and I watch him perform at some of the ASU events (but he's always in the back and all I can see is the top of his head). Last night Matt got us (Ceri, Dana, and I) some comp. tickets for The Symphony of the Southwest - they did a special pop's concert featuring Scott McIntyre (one of the top 10 from last seasons, American Idol). It was so much fun - not only to have a girls night out (thank you mom and dad corriveau for babysitting) but Matt's Drum set was right up in the front next to Scott's piano - Matt completely rocked it. Matt had only the nicest things to say about Scott McIntyre and Matt talked quite a bit with Scott and his family at rehearsals and seemes interested in calling Matt up for some later gigs - totally rad. I know Matt's got it going on but it's cool to hear that other respected musicians see that too!

Updated?
I wrote some new posts last night (this blog and my pregnancy) and it's not showing that I updated...any one know how to fix it? Maybe this wont even update so then no one will see it. sad. well...hopefully it will.
Everyone have a wonderful Saturday! I'm off to help with my mom's Super Saturday. The gal who was going to teach these vinyl block things got swine flu (poor woman!) so they are stuck with me...I've only done it once. hopefully I don't ruin anything : ) I'm a second pancake kind of girl.
**(any one who can guess what show that comes from has got to come over and play with me! I'm hoping they come out with a trivia game soon...I'd kick some rear!).

Rhino made me do it!
Well...Unlike most children who prefer to get brushes, or gum stuck in their hair - Emmie stays true to her nature and chooses her own unbeaten path...Rhino.
Emmie was playing with one of her new birthday toys, Rhino (the hamster from Bolt. You turn him on and he runs inside of his ball (super cute!) but Emmie liked to let him be free...the ball was much too restrictive!) She thought it was really funny to let Rhino "tickle" her and while "tickling" she starts screaming, "OHhhh....he stuck...he stuck!!! Ohhhh!!!!" and I'm laughing so hard I'm crying because I look over and Rhino is completely stuck in her hair - It was almost as if she was being attacked by this little hamster. I about died. We couldn't figure out how to get him loose - we finally had to get the scissors.
Oh! so funny! I hope this doesn't mean I'm a bad mom by laughing so hard while my child's in distress...I think she may think twice about who/what she plays "tickle" with next time! ha!
P.S. For those who are wondering...Emmie's hair is not too bad - just a little snip AND Rhino is okay...I'm sure that by tomorrow morning Emmie will have forgiven him and they will be friends again.

Today she is 2!
It seems like just a few weeks ago we were here: celebrating her first birthday! I can't believe my baby is 2. It's amazing how fast children grow and change. Here's a look into Emmie's second year of life...sniff...

The Boot...Round 2
Today I was teaching...doing my thing...educating children...you know...and then it happened...
A little girl rushed towards me with a wooden board in her hand (one of the Montessori works...nothing dangerous...just kind of sounds that way) and she trips over her feet - flies forward and catches her self(with the board in hand)...ON MY FOOT!! my bad foot that was broken just a few short months ago. She gets up and says "it's okay, i'm fine" and then looks at me and I'm watering up with the pain and says, "really, i'm okay". well that's nice.
I was kind of hoping that the pain would just go away...but it hasn't...Fortunately I've had my ugly boot in my trunk and I slapped that baby on and know exactly what to do...I've iced, I've elevated but now do I:
A. Go into the Doctor - put out $30 for him to poke, prode, possibly do and x-ray (do you think they can do an x-ray on my foot even though i'm pregnant?) and then have him say, "well that stinks, it's a stress fracture - wear your boot and i'll see you in 4 weeks" so then I can go in again and pay $30 for him to say, "lookin' good - take it off when it stops hurting"
But at least I'll have a diagnosis and know exactly what it is - same or different
B. Wear the boot until it feels better. save some money - but then risk it being something different and not treat it right....
hummm....i don't know....$60 is a good little bit of cash....but on the other hand....what if it's not a stress fracture like before....hummm.....I think I'll sleep on it.
p.s the good part out of all of this is that putting on my boot again has made me all nostalgic - I've been reminiscing about China and am motivated to finish posting about it!
